Morgan Bender and Julia Giebichenstein ( now a Ph.D. candidate at the University in Olso, Norway) collect mature polar cod in Hinlopen strait of the Northwest Barents Sea aboard the RV Helmer Hanssen in November 2017. Amid storms and freezing temperatures they carefully tended the polar cod until transferred to the onshore biological facilities in Tromsø, Norway. These fish were the parents of Sens2change embryos.
The Biological station of the Arctic University of Norway. The Sens2change experiment was run in climate-controlled rooms for seven months in this awesome and beautiful facility located 45 km northwest of Tromsø, Norway
